Please note that the privacy policies and practices of our authorized distributors and resellers are outside of our control and, as such, this Privacy Notice does not apply to your interactions with those parties. We encourage you to contact those parties directly to learn more about their privacy practices. If a particular service provided by or on behalf of us refers or links to a different privacy notice, then that privacy notice – not this Privacy Notice – applies.

We provide this summary of what personal data we, as a data controller, collect from you, for what purposes we use that personal data, who we will share this personal data with and your rights in relation to the personal data we collect from you.

Information Collected on Our Websites

  1. General Browsing

We process navigational information about where you go on our Websites. This information allows us to see which areas of our Websites are most visited and helps us improve the quality of your online experience by recognizing and delivering more of the most desired features and services. Additional information, (for example, domain type, browser version, or service provider) may also be processed by us, which will provide us with information regarding the general use of our Websites. We process this information because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Websites.

  1. Location Information

Our Websites may provide features if you have enabled the location-based services on your devices. The features on our Websites that require information about your location may make use of the GPS information on your device. Sometimes we use other information, such as your IP address or nearby wireless access points or cell phone tower locations, to roughly estimate where you are to provide you the feature on our Websites that requires understanding where you are located. If you use one of the features on our Websites that require locating you, we will collect and process your location data for this purpose. If you do not consent to or disable location-based services we may ask you to manually select the region where you are located, or to enter your postal code; if you choose not to provide this information some features of the Websites may not be available.

  1. Personal Data

Creating an Account

Our Websites are hosted by the online e-commerce platform XXX. You may create an account on our Websites by providing certain personal data and such data will be stored in XXX’s data storage facilities, databases, and the general XXX application on a secure server behind a firewall (“Account”).

Accounts allow you to enjoy a more personalized experience, save products, and enjoy “quick checkouts” by having us automatically enter your billing address, preferred shipping information, and payment details. Creating an Account requires you to enter your email address, first and last name, and to create a password, and allows you to provide your postal address, telephone number, and payment details.

When you create an Account you will receive a welcome email that will be delivered to the email address you inserted into the email field during the registration process. You may also receive non-marketing emails from us, such as order confirmation emails, shipping confirmation emails, and transactional emails. We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing Account services to our customers.

To request to terminate an Account please contact us via info@lalandeliving.com.

Purchasing Products Through our Websites

Our Websites are hosted by the online e-commerce platform XXX. If you purchase products through our Websites, any personal data you provide (i.e., name, billing and shipping address information, email address, telephone number, and payment card information) will be stored in XXX’s data storage facilities, databases, and the general XXX application on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that transaction is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted or rendered unreadable (masked).

All direct payment gateways on XXX adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more information about XXX’s privacy practices and use of information, please see XXX’s Terms of Service (https://www.XXX.com/legal/terms) and Privacy Statement (https://www.XXX.com/legal/privacy).

We will also process your personal data for the purpose of maintaining your Account. If you have created an Account, you will be able to view your order details when you log into your Account.

We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary to perform a contract with you and for our legitimate interest in managing and operating our business.
